Food is a love language
Our favourite stories, deepest emotions and strongest memories are built around food. Families and friends gather to eat. In love, we want to share meals with partners. Whatever part of the world we come from, and however we define family and our chosen ones, food is the language of love. And the most precious family recipes are shaped by andaaz, that indescribable, magical instinct that makes everything more delicious.
Andaaz was born of my passion for helping people archive and pass on heirloom recipes and family histories. Named for the instinctual way in which home cooks of the sub-continent create and pass on recipes, I want to make preserving rich culinary traditions across communities and countries the rule and not the exception.
Each Andaaz cookbook is made with love. I work one-on-one with every client to understand their family history and root the text and design in that. It is a process of preservation, but with zero fuss.
